Thank you for that encouragement. Thank you for reading and supporting me in that. I can only hope I am helping encourage others carrying that same cross. 🙏
It's a really interesting piece - and definitely covers ground that I wasn't aware of or only marginally - but I have to confess to a slight frustration with that kind of reporting: there's a lot of quotes from you, Karen, but without the questions you were answering it feels like listening to one half of a conversation. Not unhelpful, and I don't imagine for a moment it fails to properly reflect your thoughts, but more context would be better (for me, at least) - I enjoy hearing an interviewer ask follow-up questions, responding to what they've heard. And because it covers so much ground I was left thinking, Now that's something I'd like to hear more about - how did those lines of thinking emerge and how do they coalesce and where do they lead etc - like the paragraph about awkward spaces you've inhabited. But that sounds like I'm being picky; I hope I'm not! It's just that there's so much in there that I'd value seeing explored in greater detail.
I'm just now getting around to reading this lovely article. Thanks for sharing it. Thanks for your leadership in the disentangling process. Some of us get to do it more privately, and I'm sorry for the pain you've had to bear. From my perspective, your influence is wide and deep and you are an inspiration to me.
Thank you. Knowing that being so public (which is very hard) can be of help to others helps me. Thank you for taking the time to read and to make this comment. 🩵

I am still recovering spiritually and emotionally from writing that one, Teri. Thank you for posting it.
Enjoyed the article very much. Our sermon today talked about taking up our cross to follow Jesus and you have certainly done that.
Thank you for that encouragement. Thank you for reading and supporting me in that. I can only hope I am helping encourage others carrying that same cross. 🙏
I am sure that you do- I hope things are happier now for you
They are. They truly are. 🙏

I think a lot of it was gleaned from previous reporting. It wasn’t necessarily part of the interview. It’s definitely just a miniature biography. :)
Ah, that's helpful, thanks!
